This study has explored three research questions which are closely related one another: First, how has `the logic of integration` changed whenever the national curriculum has been revised? Second, what is the nature of integrated subjects of elementary schools in the 7th curriculum? And, what is the desirable integration logic and direction of integrated subject education from now on? What were discussed as research results are as following: The logic of integration of integrated subjects of the elementary schools has basically changed from the simple logic which only insisted on putting a few different subjects together, into the new logic which emphasizes `the integration of the self and the whole world`. The change of logic could be considered as change of paradigm. The future education of integrated subjects- that is, <Life for Right>, <Life for Wisdom>, and <Life for Joy> -should attain two aims as follows: First, focusing on the new paradigm, the education should head for the direction interaction between the self and the whole world. Second, the education should strive for the connection between the integrated subjects in the lower grades and related subjects in the upper grades.
