This study fccuses on developing a substantive theory regarding the recovery process of Internet-game addiction among adolescents. With ``grounded theory`` by Strauss & Corbin (1998) as our Isic nans of approach, we interviewed 9juvenile who already recovered from Internet-gant addiction more than a year ago; they were addicted midclle school and highschool. Total number of 237 concepts, 41 subcategories, and 12 categories were derived as the results. The recovery process of Internet-game addiction among adolescents was in fact, the process of 1) breaking away from confusion and struggle, and 2) achieving happiness and self- consciousness in daily life. This study elaborates on the recovery process of Internet-game addiction among adolescents and its types. We hope that our study can be significance as a basic materials when developing a practical theory on the subject, thus bringing forth the policies and social welfare programs that help addicts to overcome their behaviors.
