상담경험 유무에 따른 성별, 심리적 어려움, 상담관련 경험 및 태도가 대학생의 상담서비스 이용 의도에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Gender, Psychological Distresses, and Attitudes and Experiences related to Counseling on the Intent to Seek Counseling: Beyond Previous Use of Counseling

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생들의 상담경험 유무에 따른 성별, 심리적 어려움(우울, 불안, 지각된 스 트레스), 상담 관련 경험 및 태도(지인의 상담경험, 상담을 권유받아본 경험, 상담 전문 성에 대한 신뢰, 낙인 내성, 과거 상담 만족도)가 상담서비스 이용 의도에 미치는 영향 을 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구에는 학부생, 대학원생 총 443명(남학생 337명, 여학생 106명)이 온라인 설문조사에 참여하였다. 상담경험이 있는 집단과 상담경험이 없는 집단 으로 나누어 각각의 집단에서 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하여 예측변인들이 상담의도에 미 치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 상담경험이 없는 집단에서는 지각된 스트레스, 상담을 권유받 아본 경험 유무, 상담 전문성에 대한 신뢰, 낙인 내성이 유의하게 추후에 상담을 받을 의도를 예측하였다. 상담경험이 있는 집단에서는 우울, 낙인 내성, 과거 상담만족도가 유의하게 상담의도를 예측하였다. 본 연구 결과는 낙인 내성을 제외하고 상이한 변인들 이 과거 상담경험이 있는 집단과 없는 집단에서 추후 상담이용 의도를 예측함을 밝혔 다. 마지막으로 대학생들의 심리상담 서비스 이용을 높이기 위해 본 연구결과가 상담전 문가들에게 시사하는 점과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 논하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The present study investigated the effects of gender, psychological distresses(depression, anxiety, and perceived stress), and attitudes toward and experience of seeking counseling (acquaintances' previous use of counseling, acquaintances' encouragement to seek counseling, trust in counselor's expertness, stigma tolerance, and satisfaction with pervious counseling) on the students' intent to seek counseling. A total of 443 undergraduate and graduate students (337 men and 106 women) participated in the study by completing an online survey. Participants were divided into two groups based on previous use of counseling. For those without previous use of counseling, perceived stress, acquaintances' encouragement, trust in counselor's expertness, and stigma tolerance predicted their intent to seek counseling. For those with previous use of counseling, depression, stigma tolerance, and satisfaction with previous counseling predicted their intent to seek counseling. Implications for counseling and suggestions for future research were discussed.
