      The study was organized in order to 1) promote and fasten the earning of credit units for those who showed an excellent grade point average in the previous semester. They are to be allowed to register three more credits for the following semester.
      In Korean higher education (Only those institutions allowed Ministry as a pilot institutes) total credit units for commencement is 140. And individual student is allowed to take only 19 units per semester. However, according to this Plan those students whose previous GPA is above of 3.75 will be allowed to take 3more units, they may be graduated from college in 7 semesters if they continue this plan for three semesters.
      At the same time 2) for those whose GPA is lower than 1.99 will be restricted to take 3 credits shorter, so that they may not be able to graduate within 8 semesters if they continued to be restricted more than 3 semesters.
      3) Those subjects (tool subjects) like foreign languages and others may be earned by the special examinations designed to test a semester's work without taking courses.
      4) Summer and winter schools are under study so that the students may shorten their residence requirement. And the courses of graduate school and undergraduate school are under examination so that they can be exchanged in a limited range.
      Yonsei university is trying to innovate the academic system and the item 31#1 will be start out beginning the first semester of 1977. The rest of the item will be continued to study for practical purposes.
