한중/중한 번역 교육에서 유행어의 처리 문제 = How to Deal with Buzzword in the Education of Translation?

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article deals with the problem of buzzwords in translation practice and the education of translation . Buzzwords are words or phrases used by many throughout a relatively short period of time, but in the days of the Internet, these buzzwords trends to spring up faster, and die out faster.
First of all, I look at the problem in translating these buzzwords and new words in the digital era.
Secondly, among five sub-competences presented by PACTE, I suggested some are more important and critical to the education to improve the ability to properly translate buzzwords.
Lastly, I propose that we need long-term and systematic preparation as well as sporadic efforts to translate buzzwords correctly. Creating a database of buzzwords will be very helpful and necessary. The database shall include not only the exact meaning and context of the buzzword, but also the time when the specific buzzword was created, mostly used, and ceased to be fashionable.
