모두를 위한 불멸 - 러시아 우주론의 총체적 생명정치와 시간성의 윤리학 = Immortality For All: Total Biopolitics and Ethics of Temporality in Russian Cosmism

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Russian Cosmism, one of the little-studied philosophical movements in Russia, attracts extraordinary academic and artistic attention today, when the philosophical and humanistic imagination has again become entangled with scientific and technological imageries. Theoretical stance of cosmistic project, the central tenet of which might be summarized as ‘immortality for all (conquest of death)’ and ‘space exploration (infinite resources)’, seems to be the very first serious step in the process of reevalustion of ‘bodily immortality’, which is at the core of today’s discourse over trans-human. But beyond superficial correspondence or relevance, elucidating what exactly links the problems of today with the issues that concerned the Russian cosmist more than a hundred years ago is a task that require much deeper and thorough consideration. In this regard, elucidating the unique theoretical stance of Russian cosmism in terms of a radicalized version of Foucault’s biopolitical program (Total biopolitics), as well as a specific ethical system (a special kind type of social responsibility towards temporality), this paper aims at underscoring its profound implications in light of contemporary context of cultural transformation, including problematic of trans-humanity and Anthropocene.
