      Most letters are messages sent by a sender to a specific recipient. The process of reading about literature is generally a one-way interpretation process. Some scholars who study literature in cognitive perspectives have tried to explain the meaning of literature as a mental function of human expressed in this one - way reading activity. This view is useful for studying classical literature in the present position
      The process of reading an old letter such as < Kyuhanlok > is both a letter reading and a literary reading. This text is appropriate to reveal the concrete aspects of cognitive activity that act on interpretation. The main elements that constitute < Kyuhanlok > are modes. However, the readers reconstruct < Kyuhanlok > as a story through reading process. I have assumed the cognitive process of the readers who replaces the text < Kyuhanlok > composed of modalities with a narrative. In general, the reading process can proceed in three stages: The first is that the reader who is the interpreter, limits the domain of interpretation. The second is the process in which the reader selects and determines the elements constituted the meaning of the text within a restricted domain. The third is the process by which the reader assembles these elements into meaning. Applying to < Kyuhanlok >, First, the reader limits the emotional vocabulary that appears repeatedly in the text to the central axis of meaning. Second, the reader classifies such vocabularies as 'want', 'must', and 'can'. Third, the reader is a process of recognizing these modes by replacing them with (1) the state of the lack, (2) the desire to resolve the lack, and (3) the ability to resolve the lack. Through this process, readers transform the modes of < Kyuhanlok > into the narrative of < Kyuhanlok >.
