From the first yesr's research, it is found that conventional mixtures have more possibility of rutting in comparison with Superpave aggregate specification. It is also fond that the aggregate manufacturing technique has to be improved for excluding flat and elongated particles and optimizing the asphalt mixture properties. Through the laboratory tests and pilot construction, the applicability of SMA has been verified.
