불복장(佛腹藏) 문헌 자료의 표기 양상 연구 = A Study on the Spelling of Remains inside the Abdomen of Buddha Statues

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Remains inside the abdomen of Buddha statues refer to the all remains such as sutras and documents settled inside the abdomen of Buddha statutes. This paper is concerned with studying the spelling method used in mantras of those Buddhist remains of some 300 items, with special attention paid to single leaflets mantras and literatures.
Among the remains found inside the abdomen of Buddha statures, single leaflet mantras account for the largest number. They are stuffed into the inner hollow areas of statues for practical preservatory purpose and for religious reasons. Some 160 kinds of single leaflet mantras were examined to find that most of them were written in Silldham and that the contents were from 寶篋眞言, 大佛頂首楞嚴神呪, 六字大明王眞言, and so on.
Among the literatures with mantras inscribed, representatives were the 佛頂心觀世音菩薩 大多羅尼經 published in the 17th century, the 佛頂心觀世音姥多羅尼經 with Sanskrit and Korean co-inscribed of the 19th century, and the 結印法室 inscribed only in Korean. These documents are characterized of being deviated from the original Sanskrit pronunciation as they were spelt close to actual reciting pronunciation.
