동아시아 공동체와 인간안보

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

There has been an increasing tendency towards the East Asia Community through the development of East Asian regionalism mainly led by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) an East Asian regional institutions where ASEAN served as driving force. Traditional security threats and responses and reactions to them during the Cold War era had been a primary motive for the regional cooperation. In the post-Cold War era, the emergence of various non-traditional security issues including environment, health, economy and migration problems have requested not only to response at a regional level but also to consider the adoption of human security. This article investigates interactions between community-building and human security-securing in East Asia. It reviews the theoretical and conceptual matters of human security before analysing the evolution of security concepts in the context of ASEAN and East Asians regionalism by examining their official documents. The article argues that the notion of human security increasingly appears as an important factor as to build a regional community in East Asia.
