롤프 드 마레의 현대무용에 대한 관점과 국제무용아카이브,1931-1952 전시 기획의 연관성 = Rolf de Mar`s Perspective on Modern Dance and its Relationship with Exhibitions of Archives Internationales de la Danse,1931-1952

Through an analysis on the exhibits of Archives Internationale de la Danse (AID), the world`s first dance museum, this study examines how Rolfe de Mar`s perspective on modern dance, who was a Swedish aristocrat, art collector and sponsor, as well as the founder of AID has influenced and reflected on the exhibits of AID. This study were conducted through literature review and analysis on field archives with an emphasis on the french publications of Centre National de la Danse in 2006, and the critical biography of Rolfe de Mare, published in 2009. The results of this study show how Rolfe de Mare has largely influenced on the exhibits of AID in terms of his beliefs on the concepts of Total Art, perspectives on cosmopolitanism and ethno-geographic pragmatism and modern dance along with the establishment of Ballets Suedois. To validate the point of this study, the classification of the exhibits on dance as art, interdisciplinary studies, folk and ethno-geographic studies, and research on major figures were employed. In summary, by examining the relation between Rolfe de Mare`s perspective on modern dance and his influence on the following exhibits, this study attempts to draw some useful implications on dance archive exhibits that are applicable to Korean dance society.
