수정된 RETS를 활용한 지속가능한 도시관광개발에 대한 지역주민 임파워먼트 척도 개발

국문 초록 (Abstract)

지속가능한 관광에서 주민들의 역량강화가 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있음에도 불구하고, 특히 도시관광에 대한 주민들이 심리적으로, 사회적으로, 그리고 정치적으로 역량강화를 이루고 있음을 측정할 수 있는 모델개발에 관한 연구가 다소 미흡한 편이다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 도시관광개발 및 정책에 대하여 도시주민들의 역량강화 수준을 측정하여 성공적인 도시관광의 성과를 이끌어 내기위한 방안으로 RETS모델을 적용하여 수정된 RETS 모델을 개발하는데 있다. 모델개발을 위하여 본 연구에서는 관광분야 전문가 집단의 포커스 그룹, 예비조사, 그리고 무작위 표본 설문조사를 실시하였다. 데이터 수집이후, 본 연구는 주성분 분석에 의한 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 확인적 요인분석 결과, 수정된 RETS모델은 심리적, 사회적, 그리고 정치적 역량강화 3가지의 잠재변수가 도출되었다.

Even though residents’ empowerment making a significant role in sustainable tourism, there have yet to be models developed to measure whether residents perceive as being psychologically, socially, and politically empowered from tourism development, especially urban tourism discipline. The aim of this study is to develop a scale to measure urban residents’ level of empowerment toward urban tourism developments and policies in order to evaluate successful outcomes of tourism policy to host communities by applying to RETS(Resident Empowerment through Tourism Scale). To developed the model, this study conducts focus group with tourism specialists, pilot survey, and random sample survey of urban residents. After collecting data, the study conducts exploratory factor analysis with principle components method and confirmatory factor analysis. Finally, confirmatory factor analysis reveals three factors of Revised-RETS such as psychological, social, and political empowerment toward urban tourism.
