허균(許筠) 편저(編著)의 현황(現況)과 과제(課題) = The Current Status and Challenges of Heo Gyun’s Works

This thesis generally examines the works of Heo Gyun and presents tasks remaining from the literary research of Heo Gyun.
First, a list was created including all the works written by Heo Gyun along with books written by others that Heo Gyun reedited and selected. While this included books that are already known, there is some material that has been revealed for the first time through this thesis. Until now, research on Heo Gyun has been conducted with a focus on anthologies. The total list of Heo Gyun’s works as organized by this article is significant in that it comprehensively shows the writing activities of Heo Gyun.
Next, proposals were made regarding tasks remaining from the research of Heo Gyun in addition to literary issues. Until now, there have not been any studies on the status of Heo Gyun’s written history or his historical views. It is now time for analysis results to come out, including those on Heo Gyun’s historical writings that were made while interest was given to 『Haedongyaeon Byeoljip』, a historical book by Heo Gyun discovered by the writer. Also, research must be conducted on critical language that Heo Gyun attached to several anthologies of poetry.
Heo Gyun is known as a Chinese poem critic who had great discernment. His Chinese poem review methods constructed an independent domain in Chosun due to the influence of the Chinese books he encountered. Heo Gyun’s Chinese poem review contents and his review methods have important positions in the history of Chinese poetry. The Chinese poetry reviews of Heo Gyun were mainly made from directions of critical views or analyses of one or two kinds of writings. This article makes introductions including that of Heo Gyun’s review work and suggests that attention be given to his review methods.
