In this paper, an efficient method of hardware design based on Field Programmable Gate
Array (FPGA) to detect rotated angle of high definition image for real time process is
proposed. Through the result both the proposed method and CORDIC, the proposed design
is confirmed to have high operating speed of about 0.6ns with CORDIC. It is verified to
have good performance results comparing than CORDIC with cost utilization of registers
and Look Up Tables (LUTs) of 0.5% and 0.07%,respectively. The proposed method is
implemented by XC702 FPGA board by using xilinx 14.7 tool .
