      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to explore and understand the adjustment of Korean expatriate families in Thailand by exploring the process of adjustment and examining how perceived cultural differences affect family adjustment. The results of the study demonstrate that, while some organizational support was provided to expatriates during the preparation stages, expatriate spouses and children were generally not provided with any support from their home company.
The factors hindering expatriate adjustment were mostly related to work adjustment. However, expatriate spouse adjustment was related to the general adjustment of the family. Meanwhile, the adjustments made by the expatriate children were related mostly to their new schools; their English proficiency, school courses, school friendships, and the care received from school were the influential factors affecting this adjustment.
The relationship between cultural difference and expatriate family adjustment was insignificant; expatriate spouses and children rarely had an opportunity to interact with Thai nationals.
