      The spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC (CPC) has injected new vitality and direction into the teaching of ideological and political courses in universities. This article thoroughly explores the necessity and fundamental principles of integrating the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC into ideological and political education, emphasizing the importance of combining theory with practice. The goal is to cultivate socialist builders and successors with firm ideals, beliefs, and comprehensive qualities. Based on this, the article proposes innovative ideas for practical approaches and instructional design, including optimizing course structures, enriching teaching content, innovating teaching methods and evaluation systems, and strengthening the construction of teaching staff. These efforts aim to enhance the quality and effectiveness of ideological and political education, enabling students to deeply understand and practice the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC. To address challenges such as balancing theory and practice and increasing student engagement, the article presents a series of strategies, such as strengthening curriculum development, deepening teaching reforms, and utilizing modern information technology. These measures are expected to facilitate the effective integration of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC into ideological and political education. Through these reflections and practices, this article not only provides valuable references for ideological and political education in universities but also offers new perspectives and pathways for the development and innovation of ideological and political work in the new era.
