광학적 조사로 본 《단원 풍속화첩》 = 《Danwon's Genre Painting Albums》 Revealed by an Optical Investigation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

단원 김홍도는 인물, 산수, 풍속 등 다방면에서 뛰어난 조선시대 화가로 널리 알려져 있다. 특히 그의 작품 중 풍속화첩은 18세기 조선의 풍속을 여러 장면으로 나누어 그린 우리나라 풍속화의 대표유물로 전해지고 있다. 그러나 풍속화첩이 김홍도의 대표작으로 알려져 있음에도 불구하고 지금까지도 쉽게 설명되지 않는 의문들이 있다. 따라서 본고에서는 풍속화첩 각각에 대한 현미경, 적외선, X-선 촬영 등 광학적인 조사방법으로 그 표현기법을 비교분석하고, 풍속화첩의 제작 목적 등 전반에 대해 보다 실증적으로 접근해보았다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Danwon Hongdo Kim has been known to be one of the best painters of the Joseon Dynasty, and his genre painting albums are Korea's representative cultural heritages revealing the multiple snapshots of cultural landscapes of the 18th century Joseon society. However, some questions have been raised so far despite the genre painting albums have been known as the representative artworks of Hongdo Kim. For such reasons, the painting techniques used in the paintings included in the genre painting albums have been compared and analyzed by a series of optical investigation techniques using microscopes, infrared, X-ray images, or the like, while making an empirical approach in terms of understanding the overall aspect of genre paintings, such as the intended use of genre painting albums, etc.
