This study assessed LED spectra for energy-efficient indoor propagation of cut roses. Single-node cuttings of ‘Ruby Red’ (standard) and ‘Red Wing’ (spray) were grown for 6 weeks under five spectra: white (W), red (R), green (G), blue (B), and red+blue mixture (RB, 7:3). Shoot emergence and rooting were lowest under B (75%–80%), while cultivar-dependent reductions in rooting also occurred under R and G. Both cultivars showed the greatest root and shoot biomass under RB and the lowest under B. Mother leaf retention was also maximized under RB, whereas chlorosis and abscission were most severe under W and G. These results demonstrate that RB spectra enhance the rooting, shooting, and leaf stability of rose cuttings, highlighting their potential for indoor nursery systems with low light levels.
