고등학생의 재학 중 아르바이트 참여요인 분석 - 청년패널조사의 위계적 일반화선형모형 연구 -

Using the Youth Panel(YP) data of 1,550 high school students in 16 regions in Korea, this study explore the links between student and regional factors and part-time working while in high school. To accomodate the nested structure of the data and research questions, we used the Hierarchical Generalized Linear Modeling(HGLM) methods to estimate regional effects on student park-time work experience. In this study, we found that there was significant variance among regions in park-time employment during high school. Regions and students both were associated with the part-time working of high school students. At the student level, background variables, vocational schools, and achievement levels had the strong effects on participating part-time work during high school. However, only metropolitan area at the region level had significant negative relationship with students' part-time employment. Suggestions for a future study and policy implications of part-time work experience during high school are also discussed.
