국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 2013년부터 2023년까지 한국 17개 지역의 패널 데이터를 활용하여, 제조업 전문화 집적이 수출 무역에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 먼저, 고정 효과 모형을 통해 전문화 집적이 국가 전체 수출에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미친다는 점을 확인하였으며, 이어서 개별 기울기 모형을 적용하여 지역 간 이질적인 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 대부분 지역에서 전문화 집적이 수출 증대에 이바지하는 것으로 나타났지만, 그 효과의 크기는 지역별로 달랐다. 본 연구는 제조업 집적이 수출에 미치는 긍정적 효과를 실증적으로 규명함과 동시에, 지역의 산업 구조 및 특성을 반영한 맞춤형 산업 및 수출 진흥 정책의 필요성을 제시한다.

This study empirically investigates the impact of manufacturing specialization agglomeration on export trade using panel data from 17 regions in South Korea from 2013 to 2023. The fixed effects model confirms that specialization agglomeration has a significant positive effect on national export performance. To account for regional heterogeneity, the analysis further applies an individual-specific slopes model, revealing that the effect of specialization agglomeration on exports varies considerably across regions. While most regions show a positive relationship, the degree of influence differs. These findings highlight the overall benefits of manufacturing agglomeration for export growth and emphasize the importance of region-specific industrial and trade policies tailored to local economic structures and characteristics.
