AI 기반 언어재활 도구에 대한 언어재활사 및 예비 언어재활사의 인식, 활용 현황 및 윤리적 고려에 관한 조사 = A Survey on the Perceptions, Utilization Status, and Ethical Considerations of AI-Based Speech-Language Rehabilitation Tools among Speech-Language Pathologists and Pre-Service Speech-Language Pathologists

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 AI 기반 언어재활 도구에 대한 현직 언어재활사와 예비 언어재활사의 인식, 활용 현황 및 윤리적 고려를 조사하여 AI 기술의 언어재활 적용 가능성과 향후 발전 방향을 탐색하고자 하였다.
이를 위해 총 117명의 설문 응답 중 응답 내용이 불완전한 사례를 제외한 115부의 유효 응답을 분석 대상으로 선정하였으며, SPSS 29.0을 활용하여 기술통계와 독립표본 T-검정을 중심으로 분석을 실시하였다.
연구 결과, 현직 언어재활사와 예비 언어재활사 두 집단 모두 AI 기반 언어재활 도구의 필요성과 효율성에 대해 전반적으로 긍정적인 인식을 보였으나, 실제 임상 및 실습 현장에서의 활용 빈도는 상대적으로 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 AI 도구 활용과 관련하여 개인정보 보호, 책임 소재, 법적 기준의 부재 등 윤리적 문제에 대한 우려가 높은 수준으로 확인되었다. 응답자의 89.5%는 AI 도구가 향후 언어재활 분야에서 보편화될 것으로 전망하였으며, AI 활용 확대를 위해 가장 필요한 지원으로 AI 활용 교육 프로그램과 법적·제도적 가이드라인 마련을 제시하였다.
본 연구는 AI 기반 언어재활 도구에 대한 현직 언어재활사와 예비 언어재활사의 인식과 활용 실태를 비교·분석함으로써, AI 기술이 언어재활 현장에 보다 적절하고 안전하게 도입되기 위해 필요한 교육적·윤리적 과제를 제시한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated the perceptions, utilization status, and ethical considerations regarding AI-based speech-language rehabilitation tools among practicing speech-language pathologists and pre-service speech-language pathologists, with the aim of exploring the applicability of AI technologies in speech-language rehabilitation and identifying directions for future development. A total of 117 survey responses were collected, of which 115 valid responses were included in the analysis after excluding incomplete cases. Data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics 29.0, employing descriptive statistics and independent samples t-tests.
The results indicated that both practicing and pre-service speech-language pathologists held generally positive perceptions regarding the necessity and efficiency of AI-based speech-language rehabilitation tools. However, the frequency of actual use in clinical and practicum settings was relatively low. In addition, a high level of concern was identified regarding ethical issues related to AI tool utilization, including data privacy, unclear responsibility, and the lack of legal standards. Notably, 89.5% of respondents anticipated that AI-based tools would become widespread in the field of speech-language rehabilitation in the future. The most frequently identified needs for facilitating AI utilization were AI-related training programs and the establishment of legal and institutional guidelines.
By comparatively analyzing the perceptions and utilization experiences of practicing and pre-service speech-language pathologists, this study provides insights into the educational and ethical considerations necessary for the safe and appropriate integration of AI technologies into speech-language rehabilitation practice.
