진로체험지원센터 이용이 학생의 진로체험활동 참여에 미치는 영향 분석 = Analysis of the Impact of Career Experience Support Centers on Students' Participation in Career Experience Activities

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 전국적으로 운영되고 있는 진로체험지원센터의 효과를 실증적으로 분석하였다. 진로체험지원센터는 학생들의 지역사회 내 진로체험활동을 지원하기 위해 설립되었으며, 2022년 6월 기준 223개소가 운영되고 있다. 진로체험지원센터는 기본적으로 학교의 진로체험 활동 운영을 지원하는 기관으로, 학생들이 진로체험활동을 할 수 있는 지역사회 내 체험센터를 발굴하여 학교와 연결하는 것을 가장 중요한 기능으로 수행한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 진로체험지원센터가 효과적으로 운영되고 있는지 검증하기 위해 학교의 진로체험지원센터 이용이 학생의 진로체험활동 참여에 영향을 미치는지 확인하였다.
분석을 위한 자료로 한국직업능력연구원의 '초·중등 진로교육 현황조사' 중학교 3학년 설문 응답 값을 활용하였다. 초·중등 진로교육 현황조사의 학생, 학부모, 진로전담교사, 학교 관리자 및 담임교사 설문에 근거하여 학교 및 학생 수준 변수들을 도출하였으며, 학교의 진로체험지원센터 이용 여부 및 만족도가 학생의 진로체험활동 참여 여부에 영향을 주는지 확인하기 위해 다층로지스틱회귀분석을 실시하였다.
분석 결과, 학교의 진로체험지원센터 이용은 학생의 진로체험활동 참여에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 진로체험지원센터 이용 만족도 역시 학생의 진로체험활동 참여에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 학교의 진로체험지원센터 이용 및 만족도는 학생의 진로체험활동 참여 승산을 각각 1.4배, 1.7배 높이는 것으로 나타났다.
본 연구에서는 분석 결과를 토대로 진로체험센터의 위상 및 기능 강화, 객관적 자료에 근거한 진로체험지원센터 운영 성과 분석 등을 제언으로 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study empirically analyzed the effectiveness of Career Experience Support Centers, which are operated nationwide. Established to support students' participation in career experience activities within their communities, 223 centers were in operation as of June 2022. The primary function of these centers is to support schools in facilitating career experience activities by identifying career experience sites within the community and connecting them with schools. This study aimed to verify the effective operation of these Career Experience Support Centers by examining whether their use by schools influences students' participation in career experience activities.
Data for the analysis were derived from responses of third-grade in middle school students to the 'Survey on the Status of Career Education in Primary and Secondary Schools,' conducted by the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET). Based on survey responses from students, parents, career guidance teachers, school administrators, and homeroom teachers, school- and student-level variables were identified. To determine whether the use of Career Experience Support Centers by schools and the satisfaction with these centers influence students' participation in career experience activities, a multilevel logistic regression analysis was conducted.
The analysis revealed that the use of Career Experience Support Centers by schools has a statistically significant effect on students' participation in career experience activities. Additionally, satisfaction with the centers positively impacts students' participation. It was found that the likelihood of students engaging in career experience activities increases by 1.4 times with the use of the centers and by 1.7 times with high satisfaction.
Based on the analysis results, this study suggests enhancing the status and functions of Career Experience Support Centers and calls for an objective assessment of these centers' operational performance.
