머신러닝 기반 중소기업 수출액 예측 = Predicting the Export Value of SMEs Using Machine Learning

국문 초록 (Abstract)

대한민국은 수출 의존도가 높은 국가로, 글로벌 무역 환경 변화에 취약하다. 최근 지정학적 갈등으로 인해 무역 환경이 불안정해지면서 국가 경제에 큰 위협이 되고 있다. 이에 따라 수출을 예측하고 위기에 대응하려는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으나, 주로 총수출을 예측하여 기업 규모별 특성을 반영하지 못한다는 한계가 존재한다. 특히 중소기업은 대기업에 비해 외부 충격에 취약하므로 선제적 대응이 필수적이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다양한 경제 변수를 활용하여 중소기업 수출액을 예측하는 머신러닝 기반 선형 회귀모델을 제안하고, 주요 요인을 분석한다. 제안 모델은 테스트 데이터에서 R-Square 0.8576, Accuracy 92.61%로 우수한 성능을 보였다. 회귀식을 분석한 결과, 설비투자지수가 중소기업 수출액과 가장 높은 양(+)의 상관관계를 가짐을 알 수 있었다. 향후 제안 모델은 중소기업 맞춤형 수출 지원정책을 수립하는 데 실질적인 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As a country highly dependent on exports, South Korea is vulnerable to changes in the global trade environment. Recently, geopolitical conflicts have made the trade environment unstable and risky for the national economy. While research on predicting export in response to crises has been active, most previous studies have focused on total export, without accounting for firm size-specific characteristics. In particular, small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) are more vulnerable to external shocks than large corporations, making proactive responses essential. We propose a machine learning-based linear regression model that utilizes various economic variables to predict SMEs’ export value and analyze the key influencing factors. The proposed model showed 0.8576 R-Squared, 92.61% accuracy in test data. Analysis of the regression equation revealed that the equipment investment index had the strongest positive correlation with the SMEs’ export value. We expect that our model can offer practical insights for developing export support policies for SMEs.
