맞벌이가정 영유아기 손자녀 양육조모의 양육스트레스가 우울에 미치는 영향 : 부부 및 자녀관계, 가족지지의 매개효과 검증 = The Influence of caregiving stress on depression in grandmothers raising infant grandchildren in double-earner households : Focus on the mediating effects of spousal emotional support, the grandmother-adult parent relationship, and family support

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 맞벌이 가정에서 영유아 손자녀를 양육하는 조모를 대상으로, 조모의 양육스트레스가 우울에 이르는 경로에서 부부관계, 자녀관계, 가족지지의 매개요인으로써의 영향력을 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 서울과 경인지역, 6대 광역시에 거주하며 맞벌이 가정에서 만 6세 이하 학령 전 손자녀를 양육하고 있는 조모이며, 설문조사를 통해 수집된 총 273부를 분석에 사용하였다. 분석은 구조방정식 모형을 통해 이루어졌다. 연구결과, 조모의 양육스트레스가 조모의 심리적 안녕에 미치는 영향력을 확인할 수 있었다. 우선 조모의 우울은, 평균적으로는 보통으로 나타났으나 임상적으로 우울가능성이 높은 것으로 판단되는 5점 이상의 대상자가 전체 대상자의 28.5%를 차지해 조모의 심리적 건강이 나쁜 것으로 나타났다. 또한 양육스트레스가 우울에 미치는 영향을 부부관계와 자녀관계가 유의하게 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 부부간의 정서적 지지나 자녀와의 친밀한 관계가 손자녀 양육으로 인한 양육스트레스를 완화하고 심리적 안녕을 증진시키기 위한 주요한 대처전략이 됨을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 손자녀 양육 조모의 심리적 안녕을 증진하기 위해 부부 및 자녀관계를 강화하는 중재적 개입이 필요함을 제시하였고, 이를 바탕으로 손자녀 양육 조모에 대한 실천 개입을 위한 가족복지적 함의를 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effects of spousal emotional support, the grandmother-adult parent relationship and family support between caregiving stress and depression of grandmothers raising their infant grandchildren in double-earner household.
For the purpose in the study, I surveyed 273 grandmothers parenting infant grandchildren who were under 6 years of age in double-earner households, collecting data from Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Incheon and 6 other metropolitan cities.
As a result of applying a structural equation model analysis, grandmothers' caregiving stress was shown to be significantly related to depression. In addition, spousal emotional support and the relationships, between parents and their adult children had the mediating effects on grandmothers' caregiving stress and their levels of depression.
The results of this study imply that improving relationship with adult children and spousal emotional support may be a strategy that enhances the psychological well-being of grandmothers who raise infant grandchildren. Based on this research, suggestions for family welfare policy and intervention are provided.
