대학생의 우울 취약성과 대인관계문제와의 관계: 일반적 자기초점주의의 조절효과 = The Relationship between Depressive vulnerability and Interpersonal Problems in Undergraduate: The Moderating Effects of General Self-focused Attention

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 우울에 취약한 성격 특성과 자기초점적주의 성향이 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향력을 살펴봄으로써 대인관계문제를 유발하는 보다 근본적인 심리적 요인을 알아보고자 실시하였다. 이를 위하여 대학생 265명을 대상으로 성격 유형 척도(Robins 등, 1994), 자기초점적주의 성향 척도(이지영, 권석만, 2005), 대인관계문제 척도(Alden 등, 1990)를 실시하였다. 주요 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우울 취약성의 하위요인인 관계지향성, 성취지향성이 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 관계지향성이 헌신성, 간섭성, 피착취성의 대인관계문제를 포함하는 의존적 대인관계문제를 잘 예측하는 것으로 나타났으며, 성취지향성이 냉담성, 회피성, 경쟁성의 문제를 포함하는 독립적 대인관계문제를 잘 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자기초점적주의의 하위요인인 일반적 자기초점주의, 자기몰입이 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 일반적 자기초점주의는 독립적 대인관계문제에 대하여 부적으로 영향을 미쳤으며, 의존적 대인관계문제에 대해서는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 자기몰입 척도는 모든 대인관계문제에 정적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 성취지향성이 대인관계문제에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 일반적 자기초점주의의 조절효과를 보였다. 그러나 관계지향성과 대인관계문제와의 관계에서는 일반적 자기초점주의의 조절효과가 나타나지 않았다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 우울 취약성이 강한 사람들이 일반적 자기초점주의 수준에 따라 대인관계문제가 달라질 수 있음을 발견하였다는 데에 본 연구의 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study conducted on college students examined the effect that depressive vulnerability and self-focused attention have on interpersonal problems in order to identify more fundamental psychological factors to cause interpersonal problems. The scales on the Personal Style Inventory-Ⅱ(PSI-Ⅱ), Scale for Dispositional Self focused Attention in Social situation(SDSAS), and Inventory of Interpersonal Problems-Circumplex Scale(IIP-C) were implemented targeting 265 college students. The major results are as follows; 1) The results from analyzing the effects of interpersonal mode and achievement mode as lower factors of depressive vulnerability on interpersonal problems indicated that interpersonal mode had statistically significant effects on dependent interpersonal problems including overly nurturant, overly expressive, and exploitable inclination, while achievement mode had statistically significant effects on independent interpersonal problems including cold, docially avoidant, and autocratic. 2) The results from analyzing the effects of general self-focused and self-absorption indicated that goneral self-focused had a negative correlation with independent interpersonal problems and no effects on dependent interpersonal problems, while self-absorption had a positive correlation with both the independent and the dependent. 3) achievement mode illustrated the moderating effects on general self-focused inclination in the process of influencing interpersonal problems. However, the regulating effect did not appear in the relations between interpersonal mode and interpersonal problems. With the results above, the study is significant in having found that people with strong depression vulnerability might have different interpersonal problems depending on the level of general self-focused.
