청소년의 교육에 대한 사적 가치 기대 변화 = The change in students' private value expectation level in education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to explore the factors influencing students' educational private value expectation and its change in Korean youth. For this purpose, this study uses a sample from Korea Youth Panel Survey 1-4 data conducted by the Korea Institute for Youth Development, and examines how and to what degree 5 latent variables and 1 observed variable influence students' educational private value expectation and its change. The analysis methods are Latent Growth Models, since it can estimate the factors of longitudinal variables with change. The results are as follows;
First, Korean students' private value expectation in education is increasing and its changing pattern is quadratic latent curve model.
Second, self-esteem, family income, peer relationship and academic achievement affect variation of quadratic in LGM
Third, change of students' educational private value expectation is influenced by family income, parents-children relations, teacher-student relations and peer relations, based on which the MLGM is estimated.
Despite the Korea society having changed from an industrial society to an information society, these results suggest that educational fever and credentialism are still common in the educational context of Korea. Instead, more emphasis needs to be placed on practical values of education, which is important to Korea youth.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국청소년정책연구원에서 실시한 한국청소년패널조사(Korea Youth Panel Survey)의 전국규모 종단자료를 활용해서 우리 청소년들의 교육에 대한 사적 가치 기대 수준은 어떠하며, 그 수준 변화는 어떠한 패턴을 지니고, 그 변화에는 어떠한 요인들이 종단적으로 영향을 주고 있는가를 분석하고자 하였다. 청소년의 교육에 대한 사적 가치 기대를 분석하기 위하여 잠재성장모형(LGM)을 적용하였으며, 이를 통해 한국 사회 청소년들의 교육에 대한 사적 가치 기대 수준이 이차곡선적인 변화를 보이고 있으며 이러한 변화에 영향을 주는 요인으로서는 자아관, 가구소득, 교우관계, 학업성취 임을 확인하였다. 또한 청소년들의 생애사적 과정에서 변화하는 변인들의 종단적 특성을 고려하여 해당 변인들과 교육 사적 가치 기대 사이의 종단적인 관계를 분석하였으며 주요 영향 요인으로 부모관계, 교우관계, 교사관계, 가구소득을 확인하였다.
