중년기 부부관계에 관한 국내 연구 동향 분석 : Bowen의 가족체계이론을 적용하여 = An Analysis of the Domestic Research Trends on Middle-aged Marital Relationship : With Application of Bowen’s Theory of Family Systems

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 중년기 부부관계에 관한 국내 연구들의 동향을 분석, 이해하고 향후 연구를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 이루어졌다. 이를 위해 최근 10년(2011~2020) 동안 국내 등재 학술지에서 중년기, 중년기 남성, 중년기 여성, 중년기 부부관계 등의 키워드로 검색된 논문들 중 연구목적에 부합되는 중년기 부부관계와 관련한 논문 총 50편을 최종 선정하였다. 연구 동향을 파악하기 위해 시기별, 대상별, 방법별, 변인별로 분석하고, 주요 변인들을 중심으로 연구내용을 분석하였다. 이후 Bowen의 가족체계이론을 적용하여 연구내용들을 재구성하였고, 이를 통해 중년기 부부관계에 관한 연구들의 의미를 Bowen의 가족체계이론 입장에서 새롭게 이해하고자 하였다. 연구 동향 분석 결과, 최근 10년간 중년기 부부관계 관련 연구는 꾸준하게 이루어졌으며, 양적 연구가 질적 연구에 비해 상대적으로 많았다. Bowen의 가족체계 이론을 적용한 내용분석 결과, 부부관계, 자녀와의 관계, 원가족과의 관계 등 다양한 하위체계들의 관계성이 중년기 부부를 설명하는 의미 있는 변인들로 나타났다. 또한 Bowen이 제안한 핵가족 정서체계, 자기분화, 삼각관계, 다세대전수 개념들이 중년기 부부관계를 이해하는 유용한 개념의 틀로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과들을 바탕으로 중년기 부부관계 연구들이 가지는 함의를 탐색하고, 향후 연구의 방향을 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends of research on middle-aged marital relationship and to provide implication for further research. Through 2011 to 2020, a total of 50 published articles that fit this study were selected by searching with keywords:‘middle age’,‘middle-aged men’,‘middle-aged women’, and ‘middle-aged marital relationship’from Korean registered journals. To review the trends, the selected studies were analyzed based on research period, subject, method, and variables. Later, Bowen’s Theory of Family Systems was suggested to be useful in the understanding of middle-aged marital relationship and was applied to reorganize the variables and contents of these articles. This analysis and reexplanation were used to establish a new understanding of meanings of researches in the perspective of Bowen’s Theory of Family Systems. Research trend analysis revealed that middle-aged marital relationship studies were conducted steadily past ten years and quantitative research was conducted at relatively high frequency compared to qualitative research. Analysis with application of Bowen’s Theory of Family Systems showed that most important variables to understand the middle-aged married couple were not the individual, but their relationships with various subsystems. Additionally, main concepts of Bowen’s theory were proved to be meaningful in the understanding of middle-aged marital relationship. Based on the results of this study, the implications and recommendations for further research are also discussed.
