The Purpose of this study was to be use for more rational, systematic instruction for students who are a Taekwondo players as of 2002 in elementary school, middle school, high school and university, by examining the relationship of gender, edcational level and social class to the motivation of being a Taekwondo players and to satisfaction, and of relationship of participation intensity and personal training to satisfaction. The subjects in this study were 310 players, and the reponses from 297players were selected for analysis.
The stastistical method used for the analysis of this study T'-test, one-way ANOVA and Tukey's multiple comparison range test with SPSS/PC+10.0 Version for Windows. The results of this study are as Follows,
First, as to the relationship of general characteristics to motivation, gender, educational level and social class made a significant difference to cognitive motivation. The stronger cognitive motivation was possessed by the male players than the female, by the university players than the high school players, and by those from the upper class than the players from the lower class. Second, regarding the impact of participation intensity on satisfaction, those who exercised five or six times a week were satisfied in every factor than the players who did everyday. By career, the players with six-year or higher career were more satisfied in terms of environment factor, perhaps because the facilities and environment for practice were getting better. By personal training, the players who took personal training showed more satisfaction at every factor except environment factor.
