대학생의 사회부과적 완벽주의와 사회불안의 관계 : 사회적 지지와 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움의 매개효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 사회불안을 이해하기 위하여 사회부과적 완벽주의, 사회적 지지, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 사회불안에 미치는 영향을 확인하고 사회부과적 완벽주의 성향이 있는 대학생들이 어떤 과정으로 사회불안을 겪게 되는지를 이해하고자 하였다. 구체적으로는 모형비교를 통해 사회부과적 완벽주의와 사회불안의 관계를 가장 잘 설명해주는 모형을 설정하여 사회적 지지와 부정적 평가의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 남녀 대학생 357명이었고 연구도구로는 사회적 상호작용 불안 척도, 사회적 공포 척도, 사회부과적 완벽주의 척도, 사회적 지지 척도, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움 척도를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 신뢰도 분석, 기술통계 분석, 상관 분석, 카이제곱검증, 구조방정식 모형검증을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상관분석 실시결과 사회부과적 완벽주의는 사회적 지지와는 부적 상관이 있었고, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움과 사회불안과는 정적 상관을 나타내었다. 사회적 지지는 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움, 사회불안과 부적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났고, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움은 사회불안과 정적 상관이 있었다. 둘째, 사회부과적 완벽주의와 사회적 지지, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움, 사회불안간의 관계를 가장 잘 설명하는 구조적 모형은 사회적 지지와 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움의 완전매개모형으로 나타났다. 셋째, 매개변인 각각의 유의성을 검증한 결과, 사회적 지지의 수준보다 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움의 수준이 사회불안에 더 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 대학생들의 사회불안을 이해하고, 상담장면에서 사회불안의 문제를 호소하는 대학생 내담자를 맞이하였을 때 초점을 두고 개입하는 방향을 설정하는 데 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose of this study is to examine the relation among socially prescribed perfectionism, social anxiety, social support and fear of negative evaluation of university students. Specifically, by comparing the models that the relationship prescribed perfectionism and social anxiety best describes by setting the mediating effects of social support and fear of negative evaluation. The participants in the study were 357 college students and the socially prescribed perfectionism scale(HFMPS), social support scale, brief fear of negative evaluation scale(BFNE), social interaction anxiety scale(SIAS), social phobia scale(SPS) were used for this study. For data analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis, verification, structural equation models were used.
The major results are as follows: First, the results of correlation analysis, socially prescribed perfectionism has a negative correlation with social support, fear of negative evaluation and social anxiety showed a positive correlation. Social support has a negative correlation with fear of negative evaluation, social anxiety. The fear of negative evaluation and social anxiety were positively related. Second, the best structural model describes the relationship between socially prescribed perfectionism and social anxiety was social support and the fear of negative evaluation were fully mediated model. Third, mediating effect to verify the significance of the results for each variable, the level of fear of negative evaluation than the level of social support in social anxiety influence more.
The results of this study are to understand the students' social anxiety. and it can be utilized to help focusing on client involvement in counseling settings when counsellor meets client appeal to social anxiety.
