In this study three experiments were executed in order to examine young children's diversity effects of inductive thinking. Experiment 1 repeated the study of Rhodes et al.(2008) to explore which strategy Korean children use when making inductive reasoning. In experiment 1, 48 of 5-year-olds(22 girls and 26 boys; age range, 5.01-5.11yrs, M=5.63) from H kindergarten at Daegu participated. In experiment 2, the same material of experiment 1 was used but simplifier task to investigate the diversity effects for 96 of five years olds(52 boys and 44 girls; age range, 4.01- 5.11yrs, M=4.57). In experiment 3, the same task paradigm of experiment 1 but different materials to further inspect whether younger children have diversity effects or not. The familiar objects were used, and 30(15 boys 15 girls) of 3 years olds(M=3.62) from S Kindergarten in Daegu participated. In conclusion the findings of this article indicate that children as young as three years old could value diverse evidence in their inductive reasoning, which suggest that children may have diversity effects in inductive thinking.
