구술과 기술 변증법으로서의 한국 극예술 = 극예술을 통한 언어 체험의 현상학적 접근

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 구술과 기술 변증법이라는 관점을 통해 한국 근대 극예술사를 새롭게 정리하기 위한 작업이다. 희곡에서 연극 공연으로의 이행은 문자언어에서 음성언어로 언어적 소통 방식이 달라지는 것으로써, 수용자의 지각과 체험 양상을 근본적으로 바꾸어 놓는다. ‘청각적 아우라’를 지닌 연극 공연의 음성언어는 기술 복제라는 자본주의적 환경과 조우함으로써 라디오 드라마라는 새로운 극예술을 탄생시킨다. 음성언어를 비롯한 소리는 라디오 드라마의 유일한 질료라는 절대적 중요성을 지님에도 불구하고, 기술적 매개로 인해 그 근원이 은폐됨으로써 청각적 아우라를 상실하고 탈맥락화된다. 한편, 기술 복제의 또 다른 형태인 녹화를 통해 제작되는 영화는 문자언어 및 음성언어와 구별되는 영상언어에 대한 새로운 지각과 체험의 방식을 요청한다. 영화와 마찬가지로 영상언어를 활용함에도 불구하고, 텔레비전 드라마의 경우에는 영화와는 다르게 음성언어의 중요성이 더욱 두드러진다. 이는 텔레비전 드라마가 그 장르 미학을 구축함에 있어 영화보다 더 많은 부분을 라디오 드라마로부터 물려받고 있기 때문이다. 그러나 텔레비전 드라마의 음성언어는 라디오 드라마와는 달리 화면을 통해 그 소리의 근원이 분명 하게 확인된다는 점에서 기술적 매개에 대한 언어적 매개의 우위를 보여준다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is the work for organizing Korean modern dramatic art's history as dialectic of orality and technology. Changing from drama to play can change a written language of the drama to spoken language of the play. It also fundamentally changes awareness and experience of audience. Spoken language of the play which have ‘Auditory Aura’ create radio drama as a consequence of encountering the technological reproductivity. Even though the sound including spoken language of radio drama has the absolute importance as unique substance of that, it conceal the origin of the sound and lose ‘Auditory Aura’ because of its technological medium. On the other hand, movie which is another form of technological reproductivity put in for new way of awareness and experience to visual language. And television drama which is similar to movie make use of spoken language mostly unlike movie because television drama inherit genre esthetics from radio drama. But unlike radio drama, television drama's spoken language shows the origin of the sound through the television screen. It also shows superiority of linguistic medium than technological medium.
