국내,외 Dalcroze Eurhythmics 교육현황조사 = A Survey on Dalcroze Eurhythmics Education of Domestic and Abroad

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 달크로즈 유리드믹스의 교육과정에 대한 미국과 스위스와 한국의 현행 기관별 조사를 통해 빠르게 변화하는 현 시대에 부응할 수 있는 한국의 교과과정의 방향성을 제시하고자 하는 데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 연구대상은 FIER(Federation Internationale des Enseignants de Rythmique)에 등록된 해당국가의 기관들을 참고하여 스위스 9개 기관, 미국 15개 기관, 한국의 2개 기관을 선정하고, 연구방법으로 온라인자료에 근거하여 조사되며 대분류로 대학기관과 대학 외 기관으로 나누고, 각 기관 내에서 어린이과정, 성인과정의 소분류로 나누어 교육과정과 개설현황을 살펴보았다. 본 연구를 통해 비교한바, 한국에서의 유리드믹스 교육역사가 미국과 스위스에 비해 짦음에도 불구하고, 유리드믹스 유아교육기관의 수가 많았고 온라인자료가 방대하였다. 그러나 국외기관에 비해 전문인 교육기관의 수가 적고, 교육대상이 유아에 치중되어 있었다. 폭 넓은 연령층을 위한 교육과정의 연구와 더욱더 구체적이고 전문적인 연구의 필요성을 느끼며, 음악 외 교육 분야와의 연구와 한국으로 특징지어 질 수 있는 분야의 접목으로 새로운 달크로즈 교육의 발전을 기대한다.

In this paper, we investigate the curriculums of Dalcroze Eurhythmics education in the USA, Switzerland, and South Korea to suggest a better curriculum for Korean music education. Our focus is on the institutes registered in Federation Interntionale des Enseignants de Rythmique (FIER); eight institutes in Switzerland, fifteen institutes in the USA, and two institutes in South Korea. We categorize the institutes into university institutes and non-university institutes, and further classify them into child courses and adult courses. Major information sources of the research are obtained from the Internet. First, we investigate adult courses in the university institutes. In the USA, its university institutes open Dalcroze Eurhythmics as subordinate cultural subjects and summer workshops for obtaining Dalcroze Certificates and Licenses. Swiss university institutes open undergraduate courses and Korean university institutes open master degree courses and summer workshops for obtaining Dalcroze Certificates and Licenses. Second, we investigate adult courses in the non-university institutes. Five non-university institutes in the USA and two non-university institutes in Switzerland have programs for teacher training and summer workshops for Dalcroze Certificates and Licenses. Third, we investigate child courses in the university institutes. Eurhythmics pre-school programs and Eurhythmics teaching classes are found in the USA. In Sookmyung university and Hanse university, pre-school classes with the diversity from classes for five-month infants to piano programs. Finally, we investigate child courses in the non-university institutes. In Switzerland, special courses from infants to piano programs are well-classified. We also found that various courses from infants to elementary children in the USA. In South Korea, however, there is no professional institutes other than the university institutes. Instead, many courses are found in culture centers and infant-related institutes. The number of registered institutes is 273. The classes are taught by teachers trained by the university institutes and follow the curriculums designed for pre-school courses of the university institutes. From this research, we find that the number of professional institutes in South Korea is insufficient comparing to that of the USA and Switzerland. However, considering that it is only ten-years since Dalcroze education was introduced in South Korea, Dalcroze education in South Korea is still in the developing stage and is trying to settle down as a public education. We hope Dalcroze education in South Korea flourishes with its specialized features and subdivided education research.
