웹툰에 나타난 심청 서사의 재맥락화-웹툰 <그녀의 심청>과 <삼작미인가>를 대상으로 = Recontextualization of Simcheong’s Narrative Appeared in Webtoon- Based on the Webtoon Geunyeoui Simcheong and Webtoon Samjangmiinga

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this study, the aspects of recontextualizing Simcheongjeon was analyzed, based on webtoon Geunyeoui Simcheong(Written by Seri, illustrated by Biwan), and webtoon Samjangmiinga(Written and illustrated by Meuaenggaeng). These two webtoons are serialized between 2017 and 2019 and have something in common in that they reinterpret or reconstruct the female characters inside and outside of Simcheongjeon. Webtoon Geunyeoui Simcheong reconstructed the narrative of Simcheong by reinterpreting Shimcheong, Mrs. Jang Seungsang and Ppaengdeok centering on Simcheongjeon. Webtoon Samjangmiinga is based on Simcheongjeon, Chunhyangjeon and Baebaengigut, and the central characters of each work, Shimcheong, Chunhyang, and Baebaeng, appear together to form a new narrative. Although there were differences in the two webtoons utilize Simcheongjeon, they all focued on the narratives of female characters such as Mrs. Jang Seungsang, Shimcheong, Ppaengdeok, Chunhyang, and Baebaeng. And They depicted the process of their escape from the violent world that put them into crisis through solidarity. Through this, the problem of women who were forced to die under the patriarchal norms and order of the Joseon Dynasty, which was represented by filial piety and chastity, was highlighted. The two webtoons are noteworthy in that they are examples of how the Simcheong narrative can be reconstructed in the feminist reboot movement that emerged in 2015.
