한국 초등지리교육 학술연구의 최근 동향에 대한 언어 네트워크 분석 = A Semantic Network Analysis of the Recent Trend of Primary Geography Education Research in South Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is a semantic network analysis of the trends in primary geography research in South Korea over the past twenty years (1997-2016). This analysis utilizes primary geography research articles published in KCI listed and candidate South Korean academic journals during this period. First, we reviewed the annual fluctuations in the number of articles published, and then analyzed the semantic network formed by titles and keywords using KrKwic. I found that the number of geography education articles being published has increased over the past twenty years, the strongest trend being in primary geography education topics. These results may be interpreted as being a positive indicator of improvements to research in the field in the last twenty years. In addition, this study suggests a need for engaging with more diverse research topics and for employing more sophisticated qualitative methods.
