Steel beam-to-column connection applying high strength bolt improved in deformation capacity was analyzed with non-linear FEA. We proposed high ductility-high strength bolt to improve deformation capacity of high strength bolt, which are the mechanical fasteners used for end-plate connections. As a result, rotation capacity of connection applying high ductility-high strength bolt is twice as much as existing high strength bolt connection. Test results was closely compared with FEA results. FEA results were shown that global connection behavior was acceptably predicted by the proposed non-linear FEA model.
