주시경 문법에서의 ‘씨난’의 변천 과정 = A Study on the Changing Process of ‘Ssinan’ in Ju Si-gyung's Grammar

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Ju, Si-gyung was the scholar who established a certain theoretical system about the Korean grammar in the earliest period, and his theory has still become the subject for examination from various points of view. This writing examined how the establishment of categories specially on a unit of ‘gi’ or ‘ssi’ in his theory has changed. The essential contents about this matter could be summarized as acknowledgment of the predication of ‘hyeongyong/eot’(adjective), granting an independent category to ‘hyeongmyeong/eon’(determiner) and ‘hyeongseong/eok’(adverb), and the analysis of the verbal adnominal form & adverbial form, and its consequential new categorization of prepositions and the endings, etc. Such a process is not simply a terminological change, but it seems to join crisscross with the changing process of his theory in general such as the introduction of another grammatical concept of ‘byeonche’(transformed body) and its consequential consideration of the level of sentence.
