This study is to develop intra regional international logistics strategies between ports and its annex industrial complex in Northeast. It begins with a description of the needs of and prospects for trade between Korea, Japan, China, and North Korea following explanation of the current economic status of these countries as well as trade and investment trends in the region. The following viewpoints are suggested for intra regional development strategies based on the current circumstances.

Second, a practical way of utilising the port development plans was devised to stimulate industrial and investment cooperation. Third, a method of building a network among major ports in Northeast was developed. Fourth, and international logistics system that makes connection between sea, land and air easier through logistics standardisation was suggested in preparation for the changing environment of logistics and production control. Finally, methods of improving neighboring feeder port facilities are suggested.
