Studies on labor problems in fishing industry has been urgently requested than ever due to the shortage of laber forces(man power)and to the trend of productivity decrease per unit labor, that would be attributed to the rapid growth of deep sea fishing industry.
To meet this recent changes, the author has analized the answer of the captains and engineers of the fishing boats and other employees of the companies for the north pacific fishing industries in Busan to the questionnaire prescribed and handed beforehand, and the result are summarized as follows;
1) Labor policy and working regulations and de corps esprit are of standard level.
2) Practical devices for the weal and safety of the employee were of the worst
standard.
3) The method of for employment, the wages and labor management, the organization, the training of the employee and the public relationships were of substandard.
On the bases of the above findings, the author briefly described and recommended a means to improve the system of labor management for the fishing industry.
