완벽주의적인 특성과 자기제시에 따른 분노 및 분노표현양식 = The relatinship of characteristics and self-presentation of perfectionism with anger and anger expression

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 완벽주의와 분노의 관계를 연구하기 위해 완벽주의 성향을 완벽주의 특성 측면과 대인관계측면인 완벽주의적 자기제시 차원으로 구분하고, 분노를 일반적인 분노수준, 인지적 분노경험, 분노표현양식으로 나누었다. 연구대상은 청주시 소재 대학생을 대상으로 하였고 완벽주의 특성, 완벽주의적 자기제시, 분노수준, 인지적 분노경험, 분노표현양식에 대한 자료를 수집하였으며 총 368명의 자료를 분석하였다.
먼저 완벽주의 특성 차원 및 자기제시 차원과 일반적인 분노수준 간의 관계를 검증하기 위해 상관분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 완벽주의 특성 차원 중 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의가 상태분노 및 특성분노와 정적으로 유의한 상관이 있었고 자기제시 차원 중 완벽주의적 자기노력, 불완전함 은폐-행동적 노력차원이 특성분노와 정적으로 유의한 상관이 있었다.
다음으로, 어떤 완벽주의 특성 차원이 어떤 분노표현양식을 예측하는지 보기 위해 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 자기지향적 완벽주의가 높을수록 분노통제를 예측하고, 타인지향적 완벽주의와 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의가 높을수록 분노표출을 예측하고, 타인지향적 완벽주의가 낮고 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의가 높을수록 분노억제를 예측하는 것으로 나타났다.
마지막으로 완벽주의 특성 차원과 분노의 관계에서 완벽주의적 자기제시의 조절효과를 보기위해 위계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 자기지향 완벽주의 특성과 인지적 분노경험 중 일차적 사고의 관계는 불완전함 은폐-행동적 노력 차원에 따라 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의 특성과 인지적 분노경험 중 이차적 분노사고의 관계는 완벽주의적 자기노력 차원에 따라 달라지는 것으로 나타났고, 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의와 분노표현양식의 관계는 완벽주의적 은폐-행동적 노력 차원에 따라 달라지는 것으로 확인하였다. 끝으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 추후연구에 대해 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship of perfectionism and anger. Perfectionism is divided into traits of perfectionism and perfectionistic self-presentation which is interpersonal aspects of trait perfectionism. Anger is classified into trait-anger, state-anger, cognitive anger experience and anger expression pattern. Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale, Perfectionistic Self-Presentation Scale, State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory, Primary anger-thought Scale and Secondary anger-thought Scale were administered. Uncompleted data were excluded, so a total of 368 data were analyzed. The results are summarized as follows : First, Correlation analysis was conducted to examine the relation between traits of perfectionism, perfectionistic self-presentation dimension and general anger level. The socially prescribed perfectionism was positive significantly correlated between trait-anger and state-anger. Furthermore, Both perfectionisitic self promotion and nondisplay of imperfection were associated with trait-anger. Second, multiple regressions were conducted to predict whether anger expression pattern varies according to perfectionism trait dimension. The persons with strong self-directed perfectionism tend to control their anger properly. The socially prescribed perfectionism and the other-directed perfectionism significantly predicted anger-out. While low the other-directed perfectionism and high the socially prescribed perfectionism were predicted suppress anger. Third, to investigate the moderating effect of the perfectionistic self-presentation, multiple regressions were conducted. As a result, the perfectionsitic self-presentation had the moderating effect in the association between the traits of perfectionism and the anger. Finally, the implications and limitations of this study and suggestions for the future research were discussed.
