A continuous-time low pass VHF filter operating in current-mode was designed. A recently proposed design technique was chosen for its low power characteristics. The 3rd order Chebyshev filter was implemented in a 0.5㎛ CMOS digital process. A temperature-independent frequency tuning scheme was adopted. Capacitors were laid out using the available metal and polysilicon layers. Experimental results show a consumption of 180 ㎼ per pole. The filter is intended for current-mode baseband processors in communications circuits.
