동아시아지역의 산업특화 구조분석(보고서)

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 1980, 90년대를 지나면서 동아시아 지역의 산업특화 구조가 어떻게 변화하여 왔는가를 명확히 나타내 보일 것이다. 이를 위하여 기존의 산업특화 분석 방법들을 개관하고, 동아시아 지역에 적합한 산업특화 분석 모형을 개발하며, 특히 중층성이라는 동아시아 지역경제의 특성을 산업특화 분석 모형에서 다룰 수 있는 새로운 연구방법을 모색하여 제시하게 된다.
이를 위하여 우선 동아시아지역내 산업구조를 개관하고, 기존의 산업특화관련 연구에 관한 문헌조사 및 정리를 할 것이다. 이와 함께 기존의 다양한 지수분석 방법을 활용하여 동아시아지역에서의 산업특화 지수분석을 행할 것이다. 아울러 동아시아지역의 산업특화의 현상을 보다 정교하고 구체적으로 다룰 수 있는 새로운 분석방법을 제시하고자 한다. 특히 동아시아지역의 중층성의 특징을 산업특화분석 모형에 반영할 수 있도록 할 것이다. 이를 위하여 국제간 산업연관표(동북아시아의 한, 중, 일, 홍콩, 대만과 동남아시아의 ASEAN 5개국 및 미국간 산업연관관계를 나타냄)를 활용한 산업특화 분석방법의 개발을 시도하여 보다 정교한 분석결과를 기대할 수 있으며 현실 경제에의 시사점도 매우 풍부할 것으로 기대된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigates the change and characteristics of industrial concentration in the East Asian countries during the period from the 1980 to the 1990. For this, we survey the existing studies on the industrial concentration and try to develop the analytical method. In particular, we study the pattern of geographic concentration of industries in Northeast and Southeast Asian countries.
As the result, we find that there is a geographical concentration of the textile/leather, wood and rubber industry in the Southeast Asia. In the Northeast Asian countries, there is a geographical concentration of the chemistry, metal, machine and vehicle industry. This is a lasting phase in the economic development of the East Asia during the analytical period. We also find that the change in concentration levels is due to the historical factors, the size of market and forward and backward industrial linkage.
