쉴러의 미적 경험의 도덕교육적 함의 = Implications of the Aesthetical Experience on Moral Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 쉴러의 미학을 중심으로 하여 미적 경험, 즉 미적 감동과 판단이 어떤 의미로 그 자체로 인간의 도덕화로 해석되고 이해될 수 있는지를 검토하고자 한다. 이러한 과제를 달성하기 위해서 먼저 아름다움(미)에 대한 객관적 개념을 모색하는 쉴러의 객관주의 미학의 의도와 결과를 논의할 것이다. 이를 통해서 아름다움은 판단주체의 무관심과 무개념 그리고 인식능력 간의 조화로운 상호관계로 국한되는 것이 아니라, 현상으로 드러난 자유, 즉 자율성의 현상적 승인이라는 것을 드러내게 될 것이다. 그것을 토대로 아름다움의 경험은 궁극적으로 경험대상을 인격으로 지각하는 것이라는 주장으로 나아가게 될 것이다. 그러한 분석에 입각하여 미적 경험은 실천이성의 새로운 경험가능성으로 해석될 것이다. 즉, 미적 경험에는 실천이성의 또 하나의 기능, 즉 실천이성의 규제적인 사용이 요구된다는 것을 밝히게 될 것이다. 나아가 실천이성의 규제적인 사용은 자유이념의 구성적인 사용과는 구분되는, 또 하나의 인간의 자기경험이라는 것을 드러내게 될 것이다. 마지막으로 미적 경험에 대한 분석으로부터 도덕교육론적인 의미와 의의를 분석하고 정리하게 될 것이다. 이를 통해 미적 경험은 칸트적인 의미의 도덕성의 실천에 앞설 뿐만 아니라 또한 어느 정도로 그것을 넘어서는 의미의 도덕교육, 즉 인간성을 총체적으로 형성하는 경험이라는 주장에 도달하고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper deals with Schillers aesthetical theories, especially with his concepts such as aesthetical experience and aesthetical freedom in order to interpret the implications of aesthetical experience on moral education. Here will be discussed first of all the objective concept of the beauty. By Kant the beauty lies in the disinterest or unintentional harmony of mental faculties. On the contrary Schiller understands the beauty as a form of freedom which appears in the aesthetic form. Such an interpretation of the beauty leads to the interpretation that a thing can be perceived not only as a thing as usual, but also as a person or a character. Aesthetical experience means that we can experience ourselves and our environment in a special form, especially compared with our usual experiences. The core of an aesthetical experience is here to explain as a regulative use of our practical reason of which the constitutive use is to find in the moral practice. Conceiving a beautiful thing as freedom appeared in the phenomenon, we experience our practical reason in a different form than in a moral practice. This is the very ground why we can estimate the aesthetical experience as a form of moral education. Aesthetical experience is to understand as a specific and unique form of moral education, because it leads us to the experience of the regulative use of practical reason on the one hand, and because it makes us to hope the total realization of our whole self.
