가정의 구조적 배경 및 고교생 변인과아버지-고교생간 공감적 의사소통의 관계 = The Effects of Family Background Variables, Gender,and Curriculums on Father-Adolescent Communications

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 아버지의 학력, 가정의 생활수준, 아버지 실직여부, 어머니 취업여부 등 가정의 구조적 배경과 고교생의 성별 및 계열 등의 고교생 변인에 따른 아버지-고교생간 공감적 의사소통의 차이를 규명하였다. 서울지역 일반계 고교생과 실업계 고교생을 층화군집표집에 의해 선발하여 최종 484명을 연구대상으로 삼았다. 아버지-고교생의 공감적 의사소통 질문지는 Barns와 Olson(1992)의 Parent-Adolescent Communication Inventory에서 Adolescent-Father Form을 사용하였다. 분산분석, t 검정, 다중회귀분석을 통한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아버지의 학력이 높은 고교생이 아버지와의 공감적 의사소통을 높게 지각하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 경제적 생활수준이 높은 가정의 고교생이 아버지와의 공감적 의사소통을 높게 지각하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 아버지가 취업상태인 고교생이 아버지와의 공감적 의사소통을 더 높게 지각하였다. 넷째, 어머니가 전업주부인 고교생이 아버지와의 공감적 의사소통을 더 높게 지각하는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 고교생의 성별에 따라 아버지와의 공감적 의사소통은 차이가 없었다. 여섯째, 일반계 고교생이 아버지와의 공감적 의사소통을 더 높게 지각하였다. 마지막으로, 생활수준, 아버지의 실직여부, 어머니의 취업여부는 아버지와의 공감적 의사소통에 대하여 유의미한 영향력을 가진 것으로 나타났고 생활수준의 상대적 영향력이 가장 크게 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined the differences in father-adolescent communications perceived by 11th graders in terms of father‘s educational levels, family's living standard, father's unemployment status, mother's working status, 11th graders' gender, and curriculums. In order to answer the research questions, cluster sampling with stratification was conducted with 11th graders from ten high schools in Seoul, Korea (N = 484). Father-Adolescent communications were measured by Barns and Olson's inventory (1992). One-way Analyses of Variance demonstrated that fathers' educational levels and the family's living standard made significant differences on father-adolescent communications. The case where father is in employment and mother is at home showed higher father-adolescent communications. Gender differences were not found. Academic high school students showed higher father-adolescent communications than vocational high school students. Multiple regression analysis revealed that family's living standard was the most influential predictor of father-adolescent communications.
