학령전기 자폐성 장애아동의 언어이해수준에 따른 표현언어 특성에 관한 연구 = Features of Language Expression in light of Language Comprehension levels in Children with Autism

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between spontaneous utterances and echolalia in light of the different stages of receptive language development in children with autism. Twenty children with autism were divided into three groups according to their language comprehension abilities. Expressive language the children produced in natural settings while they interact with familiar adult for about two hours were sampled and analyzed. Each expression was coded as follows: Immediate echolalia, delayed echolalia, and spontaneous utterance. Data was collected on frequencies and transformed into percentages. As results, the relationship between groups in terms of language comprehension ages and frequency/percentage of spontaneous utterances showed significant differences. The group differences in frequency and percentage of echolalia utterances were not significant. As language comprehension age was increased, overall amount of spontaneous utterance was also increased. However, the amount of echolalia exhibit no changes.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 자폐성 장애아동의 언어이해 수준에 따라 자발적 발화, 즉각적 반향어, 및 지연 반향어와 같은 표현언어 특성의 빈도와 비율의 차이를 분석하였다. 20명의 자폐성 장애아동을 언어이해연령에 따라 세 집단으로 분류하여 친숙한 성인과 자연스러운 장면에서 상호작용하는 동안 각 집단아동들이 보이는 발화를 수집하였다. 수집된 발화를 분류기준에 따라 자발적 발화, 지연 및 즉각적 반향어로 분석하여, 언어이해연령집단에 따른 각 발화의 빈도와 비율간의 차이를 조사하였다. 연구결과 언어이해연령이 증가함에 따라 자발적 발화의 빈도와 비율이 증가하였으나, 즉각적 반향어와 지연반향어의 빈도와 비율은 언어이해수준이 증가하여도 집단에 따른 차이를 보이지 않았다. 자폐성 장애아동들의 개인적 특성을 고려할 때 종단적 연구를 겸한 사례연구 및 언어처리과정에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요함을 논의하였다.
