청소년 또래관계 질 척도의 타당화 연구 = A Validation Study of the Peer Relationship Quality Scale for Adolescents

In this study, the Korean Peer Relationship Quality Scale for Adolescents was developed and validated based on the theoretical background. The study suggested two factors (positive peer relationship and negative peer relationship) and six sub-factors (intimate exchange, social support, satisfaction of peer relationship, conflict and opposition, one-sided lead, and withdrawal and isolation) of peer relationship quality. Exploratory factor analysis was performed on 393 adolescents (182 boys and 211 girls) in Seoul and Gyeong-gi province, and the two factor structure was found to be valid. Five items low in communality (below 3.0) was removed. To confirm the validity of factor structure in exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis was performed on 364 high schoolers (152 boys and 212 girls), and the goodness of fit of the model was good. Then 2 items with Standardized Regression Weight below .50 and Squared Multiple Correlations below .30 were removed, and internal reliability of the final 13 items turned out to be .848. The results of this validation study suggest that this scale, composed of two factors including positive relationship quality and negative relationship quality, would be useful for adolescent targets in future studies.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 기존의 또래관계 관련 척도와 이론적 배경을 토대로 한국판 청소년 또래관계 질 척도를 개발하고 그 타당도를 검증하였다. 본 연구에서는 또래관계의 질을 크게 2개의 요인(긍정적 또래관계와 부정적 또래관계)과 6개의 하위요인(상호친밀감, 사회적지지, 또래관계 만족, 갈등과 대립, 일방적 주도, 철회와 고립)으로 가정하였다. 서울, 경기 지역에 거주하고 있는 393명(남: 182, 여: 211)의 중학생, 고등학생을 대상으로 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 2요인 구조가 타당하였고, 공통성(communality)이 3.0 이하로 낮은 5개의 문항을 제거하였다. 탐색적 요인분석에서 나타난 요인구조의 타당성을 확인하기 위해 서울, 경기 지역에 거주하고 있는 364명(남: 152, 여: 212)의 고등학생을 대상으로 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 모델의 적합도는 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 Standardized Regression Weight가 .50 이하이고 Squared Multiple Correlations 지표가 .30 이하인 2개의 문항을 제거한 최종 13문항의 내적 신뢰도는 .848로 나타났다. 이러한 타당화 결과는 긍정적 관계의 질과 부정적 관계의 질이라는 두 주요 하위요인으로 구성된 본 또래관계 질 척도가 추후 연구에서 청소년을 대상으로 유용하게 쓰일 수 있음을 시사한다.
