To compare the differences in R＆D professionals' attitudes toward work between public and private R＆D institutes, this study analyzed organizational climate perception and job satisfaction among R＆D professionals in both sectors. Given the data of 280 researchers from two government sponsored research institutes(GSRIs) and the private R＆D centers(PRCs), t-Tests and MANOVAs reveal that the organizational climate perceptions between senior researchers and junior researchers are more significantly heterogeneous in GSRIs than in PRCs. Futhermore, two sectors are showing different relationships between organizational climate perception and job satisfaction. Finally, theoretical and practical implications of the results are discussed.
