      초등학교 미디어교육을 위한 블렌디드 프로젝트 학습 프로그램 개발 = The development of blended project study program for elementary school media education

      The purpose of this research was to develop the draft of practical media education program appropriate for Korean educational condition and media environment and reveal the effectiveness of it by introducing the blended study which recently attracted in many fields into media education. The study process of this research that is focused on a creative discretion activity of the Seventh Education Program is made up three modules of prior study-project study-after study considering the characteristic and teaching contents of media education and blended study strategy. It is maximized learner`s study experience and planed as a blended project study system that combines the study space, study form and diverse study methods focusing on the project to promote the effectiveness and efficiency of media education. Learners can get the whole understanding of program and learn the main concept of media through the prior study module of on-off line and after that they are planed to research the relationship of main concepts that studied in the prior study course through the practical producing experience of the project study module. They are planed to check and evaluate the process and result of their study for themselves through total reflection and evaluation in after study. These series of study process can make the study for media link continuously and circularly centering on a new project in the course of long-term curriculum and can make learners accomplish the critical understanding for media, active use for media and the aim of active production. The draft of program developed in this research can get as following positive results with practically applying period for two months. First, learners were able to systematically learn the knowledge, technique and manner needed for media education while going through the steps of prior study, project study, after study according to blended study strategy. Second. the study space enlarged to on-off line helped to get over the limitation of time and space in conducting media education. Third, learners could accomplish effectively the role as a main body of media environment and a creative producer with critical acceptance, active participation through active use of media and the chance of diverse study experiences. Therefore this program is expected to be a practical device for systematic media education considering the digital media environment while teachers and learners are doing active communication in the education scene. But, because of increasing the burden which is followed by blended study strategy connecting on and off-line and teacher`s perfect preparation, and a management for learners to operate this program, the research for practical use of EPSS is needed to help teacher`s burden and learner`s smooth study accomplishment in the next following research, and the research for network system constitution and the database system construction for study content and study material constitution will have to be followed. Besides grounding on the basic frame for blended project study presented in this research, the research for blended study strategy and study methods of individual media such as internet, newspaper, TV, advertisement is needed to proceed in the concrete.
