Seventeen of Cryptococcus neoformans, eight of Candida albicans and Microporum gypseum, six of M. coorei, and three of Sporothrix schencrii were identified group. 3. An association of C. neoformans with avian habitats was found. Ten of the 11 isolates came from areas frequently by pigeons such as pigeon nest and pigeon excreta. 4. The inflammatory reaction produced in mice that were inoculated with C. neoformans and C. albicans intraperitoneal route.
