박태원 소설의 미적 근대성 : <小說家 仇甫氏의 一日>을 중심으로 = Aesthetical Modernism of Park, Tae-won's Novels

As a rule, modernism from a western perspective, resists to the evils and contradictions (such as deification) of capitalistic circumstances created by scientific progress and rationality with bourgeois modernism. Thus modernism can be said to be the tensed state of modern principle resisting to tradition. However, such criticism to tradition and modernity is an advance for newness, so a spiritual activity without goal setting. In other words, modernism is mostly composed of 'aesthetic strategy'. That is, modernism has been developed in the aesthetic category 9form and technique) without its political alternative or base secured.
This paper would like to explore how the cognitive or aesthetic features of modernism is realized at Park, Tae-won novel, titled 〈Novelist, Gu, Bo's Daily Life〉. In particular, this endeavors to pay attention to the modern individual (or modern boy), ‘Gu Bo' appearing at 〈Novelist, Gu, Bo's Daily Life〉, and ascertain and verify the cognitive horizon of modernism through his behavior.
