태권도 경기지도자로의 성장과정에 관한 생애사적 연구 = Life History on the Growth Process as Taekwondo Coach

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to explore Taekwondo coach`s life cycle and look into Taekwondo game culture. To achieve the purpose of this study, the investigators approached from two perspectives to observe the Taekwondo coaches: the first, the Taekwondo competition culture came from the life styles and experiences from the subjects; the second, collecting the information about the life styles of Taekwondo coaches by observing their self-esteem, self-evaluation, and personal identity. The study was progressed from November 2007 to June 2008, and the five Taekwondo coaches who used to be Taekwondo athletes and have more than five years of teaching experience were selected. Date collection had done through an in-depth interview. The result of the study through life history analysis was structured as `meeting with Taekwondo and starting as a Taekwondo player`, `conflicts and adaptation with the culture of an athletic team: moving toward to a higher grade level school`, `preparing for the next step in life: retire and starting a Taekwondo coach`s life.
